Best Robotic Mop and Vacuum Combos
Most robot vacuum-mop combos can be customized with an application that allows you to save the maps of your home, set cleaning schedules and select mopping options. They also allow you to alter suction power and fine-tune the amount of water and the scrubbing action of your mop.
A mapping feature can help your robot navigate around rooms and obstacles, while an obstacle avoidance function will stop it from hitting wires, furniture, or even stray pet toys. These are essential features to have in my home, which is filled with toys scattered around.
1. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the flagship mop and vacuum, so it naturally comes with a host of features. It can sweep and mop in one session and even raise its brushes and mop pads to prevent soft surfaces from getting too wet. It can also avoid obstacles by spotting pets, plants, and other small objects.
The robot vacuum's maximum suction power is 6,600 pascals. This is the highest power of any other robot vacuum we've examined to date. It also has PreciSense LiDAR Navigation that tracks its location, preventing it getting stuck on an object.
The mopping capabilities of the S8 Pro Ultra are also impressive. It can continuously apply pressure to the pad at more than 6 Newtons for a thorough clean. It also has mop lifter that lifts the pad automatically when it transitions between tile and laminate, hardwood and carpet or rugs to prevent soaking soft surfaces.
The S8 Pro Ultra also has self-washing, and self-drying features. The pad can be rinsing and heat-drying within the dock. The dust bin will automatically empty before returning to the dock. You can set it and forget about it. You only need to refill the water tank or replace the dust bag on occasion.
This is all powered by a lithium-ion 5,200mAh battery. The S8 Pro Ultra ran on its normal vac- and mop-settings for around 160 minutes before it began to run out of power and returned to its base to recharge. This is not far off of the 180 minutes that Roborock claims and is in line with other hybrids I've tried.
It's a robust, well-rounded product. The only drawback is that it's pricey. The number of features make it an appealing choice for anyone who is looking to replace their old stick vacuums and mops. We would highly recommend this vacuum for those who can afford its price.
2. Dreametech L10S Ultra
The Dreametech L10S Ultra is a top-of-the-line robot vacuum and mop combo. The high price is justified by the robust features, which include a massive vacuuming capability, as well as two mop heads that gyrate. It comes with an app-enabled smart controller as well as an advanced obstacle-avoidance system.
The L10S Ultra has a retail price of 999 Euros, which is among the most powerful robotic vacuums and mop combos available. In my tests, it was able to perform well in all areas of the home, removing 98.4% of debris on all types of floors and able to lift long hair without knots. The docking station emptys the dustbin into a bag to collect dirt, then refills the tank with water to use for mopping, and even dry your mop pads. It also has a real-time safety detection system and allows you to schedule regular cleaning sessions using its smart controls.
In contrast to the other hybrid vacuum mops that I tried The L10S Ultra doesn't offer advanced debris removal on carpets. Additionally it's not as efficient in removing stubborn stains as those found in the top Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra.
Despite the L10S Ultra's top-of-the-line features, it still requires regular maintenance. To prevent mildew or unpleasant odors, the base unit dustbag, water and tanks must be cleaned and emptied regularly. They also need to be dried. The mop pads that are sold separately will need to be changed periodically.
Given the L10S Ultra's premium price tag and extensive functionality, I would recommend it to anyone who has the budget for it. If you're on a budget, I would suggest an easier model that will allow you to save money while enjoying clean hands at your home. It's worth noting that even the L10S Ultra is the best mop and robotic vacuum you can buy however, its cost and maintenance costs will ultimately make it more of a wish than a necessity.
3. Eufy S1 Pro
Eufy S1 Pro is the robot vacuum and mop that you need to clean up messes and get rid of dirt from your hard floors. This powerful robovac/mop combination has a powerful suction capacity of 8,000 Pa. automated vacuum boasts a large battery capacity that can be used for vacuuming as well as mowing. It is also equipped with a top-notch obstacle-avoidance system. It even comes with an automatic mop that cleans itself while moving this makes the S1 Pro stand out from other models that require users to return to their base station mid-cleaning to clean the mop pad.
The S1 Pro has a unique mopping mechanism that is a departure from the spinning discs and microfibre pads found in other robots. The roller covers the entire width of the robot, and it is supplied with a continuous supply of clean Ozonated, filtered water from the dock. The roller scrubs the floor while collecting dirt. Dry debris is picked up with the side brushes or swept away into the front bumper. As with most robotic vacuums and mop sets like the S1 Pro is ready to come out of the box. The S1 Pro does need to be filled with clean water. This can be done using the cleaning dock. You can also add cleaning solution to the dock, in case you want to have the option of using your own cleaner. If you opt for this option however, you'll have to purchase the Eufy-branded cleaning solution, which is more costly than other robot brands that allow you to choose your preferred brand of cleaning solutions.
Like many robots that are available, the S1 Pro did well in navigation efficiency and coverage evaluations. It was quick to map a area and was able to navigate around furniture. The only issue is that it was stuck a couple of times on longer pile carpets and rugs in my tests, but this may be fixed as the software is updated. The S1 Pro is an all-in-one robot that offers lots of features at a reasonable cost.
4. Roborock Qrevo
The Qrevo is Roborock's cheapest mop and vacuum, but it still offers some impressive features. The dock's multifunction allows emptying the robot's dirtbag, filling its water tanks, as well as cleaning and sanitizing the mop pads is handled by the dock. The mopping system itself is capable of cleaning up a significant portion of an area before returning to its dock, and the vacuum's extreme suction does a nice job of removing dirt and pet hair on carpets.
The software that runs the appliance is dense, and offers a variety of options to customize the cleaning process. You can choose to manually clean the entire area that this device maps or choose individual rooms, an expandable zone or a routine you've developed. There are a number of mopping options that include SmartPlan -an algorithm that makes use of the sensors on the mops to determine the most efficient method to tidy your home as it maps the space.
Like the other Roborock models we've tested, the Qrevo does well in our tests. Its navigation system is efficient by quickly mapping rooms and cleaning them in a well-organized way. The 'Normal" pathing setting covers an area well, and doesn't leave any major gaps or missed areas. The Reactive Tech hazard avoidance system is quite reliable, too although it's not as advanced as the color camera system found on the Qrevo Master or the S8 Pro Ultra. It can detect the dangers of carpets that are thick however it won't always detect small things like rug tassels, or electrical wires.
The most obvious flaw with this machine is the lack of a mop-after-vacuum option which could be a problem for people who spend a lot of time vacuuming before cleaning with their robot.
